Burn Permits
PERMITS REQUIRED

WITHIN A DSD, LAND CLEARING/CONSTRUCTION PURPOSES:
- Burning shall be conducted at least 750 from the nearest occupied dwelling
- Burning shall be conducted while using an open air incinerator approved by the Fire Official
GENERAL – Applications shall be submitted at least 14 days prior to the burning. Permits shall be effective for a maximum period of 90 days from the date of issuance.
Permit open burning is prohibited by State Air Pollution Control Board regulations from May 1st until October 1st. State Forestry laws prohibit open burning before 4:00 pm between February 15th and April 30th (any authorized permit burning during this time may occur only between 4:00 and midnight).
