Frequently Asked Questions:

• How do I apply for a new address?
  • Please fill out the Address Application and email it to iowgis@isleofwightus.net. Please note we only address structures, not vacant parcels.
• My property lines are not correct. How can I fix this?
  • Please contact us at 757-365-6278 or iowgis@isleofwightus.net.
• How can I obtain a survey/plat of my property?
  • If a survey/plat of your property is available, the GIS Department can typically find it and email the property owner a copy. However, not all properties have had surveys done.  The County does not survey properties.  Surveys are done through private surveying companies.  If you are requesting a property deed you will need to contact the Clerk of the Circuit Court at 757-365-6233 or dszymanski@vacourts.gov.
