Tax Notice to County Residents
***UPDATE*** TAX NOTICE TO RESIDENTS OF ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY
COUNTY OF ISLE OF WIGHT PAST DUE TAX NOTICE
Dear taxpayers, please be informed that PAST DUE TAX NOTICES for personal property and real estate in Isle of Wight County were mailed on July 10, 2023. It is compulsory to pay the current year taxes to avoid collection action. If you have any previous tax balances, collection action has already been initiated, and the current year taxes will be added to the total amount due. If you are unable to pay the full amount, please reach out to the Treasurer's Office to make arrangements for a payment plan. Taking collection action may entail triggering debt set-offs, banks and employer tax liens, DMV stops, and seizure of property. Please take prompt action as the deadline for the late notices is August 5, 2023. Please note that not receiving a tax bill does not excuse any penalties or interest that may be incurred.
To make things easier for you, we provide a variety of payment options. You can pay using cash, check, money order, or credit card at our office. In addition, if you're a resident, you can pay online by visiting www.co.isle-of-wight.va.us and using your customer number.
