County of Isle of Wight is pleased to announce Personal Property will be due twice a year. The 1st installment will be due June 5th and the 2nd installment due December 5th. This will help with your ESTIMATED PAYMENT PLAN to assist you with budgeting your personal property taxes. The program is called Isle Pre-pay and it is 100% voluntary. The suggested voucher payments are made based on your previous years' Personal Property taxes. (Purchases during the year will increase your prepayments. Please call 757-365-6228 for an updated estimated payments.) All prior years’ taxes must be paid in full before you can participate in this program. Licenses Fees are billed on 1st installment. Here’s how it works.
- Voucher 1 due by Jan 5
- Voucher 2 due by Feb 5
- Voucher 3 due by Mar 5
- Voucher 4 due by Apr 6
- Voucher 5 due by May 5
- Voucher 6 due by June 5
12/5 Personal Property tax pre-pays
- Voucher 7 due by July 5
- Voucher 8 due by Aug 5
- Voucher 9 due by Sept 5
- Voucher 10 due by Oct 5
- Voucher 11 due by Nov 5
- Voucher 12 due by Dec 5
June 5th Personal Property tax statements will be printed around April 15.
May 05 pre-payments will not be reflected in the final bill due June 5
December 5th Personal Property tax statements will be printed around Ocober 15
November 5, pre-payments will not be reflected in the final bill due December 5th.
Continue your payment schedule AND call the Treasurer’s office by November 15 or May 15 to make sure your pre-payments have paid your Personal Property taxes in full by the December 5th or June 5th due date. Your payments into the program are completely voluntary. You may pay more or less than your estimated amount. Any existing credits on the previous years' tax bill may have been subtracted from the estimated amount due. Changes to vehicles on the previous years' bill are not considered when estimating the prepayments. Any balance due must be paid by the applicable due date, to avoid penalty and interest. We hope this program will be a benefit to you by providing an easy method of paying your Personal Property taxes on time.
