 Central Permitting

The Community Development Department is also home to the Central Permitting office.  This office processes and tracks all development permits for the County.  All applications must be submitted to this office prior to beginning any construction or establishing a use on the property.

All development activity in the County requires a zoning and/or building permit.  Permit applications can be obtained at the Central Permitting Office located on the first floor of the old courthouse building at 17140 Monument Circle, Suite 101.  Applications can be found online using this link:  http://www.co.isle-of-wight.va.us/central-permitting/home/.

You may also call Central Permitting at (757) 365-6211 or reach us by email at planreview@iwus.net.  We are a small and friendly staff - please leave a voice mail if we do not answer immediately, and we will be sure to call you back as soon as we are able.  Although we strive to return phone calls sooner, please allow 24 hours for a return call.
