DMV 2 Go is equipped with the latest wireless technology to accomplish the needed connection to DMV’s computer systems. The wireless capability allows the units to provide secure service at virtually any location.
The handicapped-accessible full service mobile office provides all DMV transactions including driver’s licenses, license plates and decals, ID cards, and Virginia’s new veterans’ ID card. In addition, if Virginians have recently moved, they can update their addresses on their DMV record and also update voter registration and organ donor status.
Customers are encouraged to research and bring the proper documents to complete their transactions by using the interactive document guide at www.dmvNOW.com.
2015 General Reassessment Effective July 1, 2015.
As required by State law, Isle of Wight County conducted a General Reassessment of Real Estate. All real property was assessed at “fair market value”. The reassessment is effective as of July 1, 2015. Public hearings are no longer being scheduled for the Boards; however, a property owner has the right to appeal their property tax assessment through the following process:
The final appeal after the Board of Equalization would be to petition the Isle of Wight County Circuit Court for judicial review. The Code of Virginia provides all property owners the opportunity to appeal an unfair reassessment through the Circuit Court system within three years of the effective date of the reassessment (July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2018).
