Attorneys: Learn about OCRA

ATTORNEYS ONLY

Isle of Wight Circuit Court Clerk’s Office will begin December 1, 2012, maintaining our criminal and civil cases in digital format, rather than paper, using the Case Imaging System (CIS) with the Supreme Court.

OCRA (Officer of the Court Remote Access) is now available with our office, which is a secure connection to the CIS servers at the Supreme Court of Virginia. OCRA is limited to members in good standing of the Virginia State Bar and their staff members.

OCRA allows you to see the court file in its entirety from your office or your own personal computer if working at home. It is available 24 hours a day.

OCRA will be a great benefit for Isle of Wight Clerk’s Office in several ways. You will no longer need to come by the Clerk’s Office to pick up a file for a hearing in Suffolk. You will have access to the file by computer, and the Judges now have JIS, which allows them to see our files on computer as well.
