Citizen Comments
Citizens are invited and encouraged to speak on matters related to Isle of Wight County during the Citizen Comments section of each regular Board of Supervisors meeting.
Public Hearings
Public hearings are an opportunity for citizens to address the Board on a specific issue of community interest. Advertisement of the public hearing is published in the local newspaper prior to the Board of Supervisors meeting. The Board holds public hearings at 7:00 p.m. during its regular meeting on the third Thursday of each month. The Planning Commission and the Board of Zoning Appeals hold a public hearing at each meeting.
Transportation Matters
Citizens are given the opportunity to address the Board on transportation issues within Isle of Wight County during the Transportation Matters section of the regular Board of Supervisors meeting.
Appointments to Boards and Commissions
The Board of Supervisors make appointments to various boards, commissions and committees. Any questions regarding appointments to boards or commissions should be directed to the County Administrator’s Office at 365-6204
