VDOT Requests Public Input: Route 17 at Eagle Harbor

VDOT LogoISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY – The Virginia Department of Transportation is conducting a study to assess potential safety and operational improvements for 2.6 miles of Route 17 (Carrollton Boulevard) between Channell Way/Deep Bottom Drive and James River Bridge in Isle of Wight County.  The study will consider improvements along this section of Route 17, including:

As part of this study, the department has created an online survey to solicit feedback regarding this corridor and potential improvements. Click here to take the survey, which will be available through Monday, Jan. 20.

You may also submit written comments by Jan. 20 to Mr. Jerry Pauley, Virginia Department of Transportation, 7511 Burbage Drive, Suffolk, VA 23435. Please reference the Route 17 (Carrollton Boulevard) Study in Isle of Wight County.

Additionally, a public meeting schedule will be developed to inform stakeholders and citizens about the study and to receive feedback that can be incorporated into recommendations. These public involvement opportunities will be announced at a later date.

The study is expected to be finalized in Spring 2020.
