It is no surprise that Isle of Wight is one of the most horse dense counties in Virginia. We have it all! From Arabians to Appaloosas, minis to mustangs, and donkeys to draft horses, Isle of Wight's equine diversity is the local industry's greatest strength.
Home of the Virginia American Indian Horse Festival, county riders participate in local shows under the auspices of the Suffolk Horse Show Association. Along with a strong 4-H program, we have a wide range of professional instruction available, from Natural Horsemanship to show Jumping to classical riding. We are currently generating a list of local riding instructors, if you are interested in being included on the list or would like more information, call 757-357-6126 or email rchieppa@isleofwightus.net
Isle of Wight boasts several hay and feed shops, and we even have local tack stores. Looking for a contact with a local hay farmer? This is the place to look. You can also find local boarding facilities right here in our Farm Products Directory.
